Mount Aso pussy willow is grown for its extra-large, silky catkins that appear in late winter to early spring, often before the leaves emerge. The fuzzy buds are excellent for cutting and bring early-season interest to the landscape when little else is in bloom. This multi-stemmed shrub is easy to grow and thrives in sunny sites with consistent moisture.
