Chasmanthium latifolium #1

In late June, clusters of drooping seed heads hang from arching stems atop this variety's clump of bamboo-like foliage. The seed heads emerge green, turn purplish bronze by late summer then dry to a straw color. The green leaves will turn copper in fall.
