A native perennial valued for its tall, bottlebrush spikes of purple blooms that open from the top down in midsummer. Fine grass-like foliage adds texture even when not in bloom. Excellent for pollinator gardens, borders, and cut flower arrangements. Drought-tolerant and easy to grow.
