A small ornamental tree valued for its multi-season interest. Masses of showy white flowers cover the branches in early spring, followed by edible red-purple berries that attract birds. Leaves emerge bronze, mature green, and turn brilliant orange-red in fall. Smooth gray bark adds winter appeal.
