A Japanese plum variety known for its very large, heart-shaped fruit with mottled purple-red skin and rich, juicy, blood-red flesh. Flavor is sweet with a slight tartness, making it excellent for fresh eating, preserves, and desserts. Ripens late in the season, extending the plum harvest into fall. Requires a pollinator such as 'Santa Rosa' for best yields.
